Phytosanitary Machinery Lab

The Region of Murcia's Metal Technological Center as an answer to the manufacturer's need for phytosanitary machinery, users and Administration, has a lab for tests and certification of said machinery. This lab lends its services since May 2002. Currently, their main users are the manufacturers of phytosanitary machinery of the Region of Murcia. From the project phase, they have supported the creation and launch of this lab.

Now, we will relate the main tests that are carried out in our lab:

Hydraulic sprayers group (low crops):

• Nozzle separation and axis direction.
• Flow uniformity of the nozzles mounted on the bar.
• Bar flow.
• Pump flow.
• Bowl capacity and level indicators.
• Charge loss in the conducts that fill the bowl.
• Distribution of horizontal spraying.
• Flow rate of tank filling devices.
• Testing of the stirring device.
• Power absorbed by the sprayer.

Hydro-pneumatic spraying group (arboreal crops):

• Distribution of vertical spraying.
• Aspiration air flow.
• Flow uniformity of the nozzles mounted on the sprayer.
• Power transmission elements and their protections.
• Pump.
• Manometer.
• Product stirring device.
• Deposit and its different elements.
• Controls and regulation systems.
• Rigid and flexible pipes.
• Filters.
• Spraying bars (low crops).
• Fans and their protections (arboreal crops).
• Nozzles (flow state and measurement).
• Spraying distribution uniformity.
